The outdoor transformer pack is IP64 rated for outdoor use, so no need for plastic bags covering plugs under the tree. With a generous 5 metre clear cable from the transformer you'll have easily enough length to get you to your near by tree.
These connectable Christmas lights are low voltage (24v) so perfectly safe for outdoor use but also indoor use. With a medium weight cable these lights are sturdy for outdoor in your tree, but also light enough to place indoors too.
