Tim Naughton, founder of Lights4fun
Tim Naughton started Lights4fun because he was fed up with the poor quality, mass produced Christmas lights offered in DIY stores and garden centres throughout the UK. He spent four years researching and developing an outdoor product range which is designed to beat the worst of the British weather.
Today, seven years later, Lights4Fun has become a leading U.K. brand for high quality indoor and outdoor decorative lighting.
Christmas Lights & Lights4fun
Tim had always loved Christmas lights. From just 10 years old it had been his seasonal joyful task to untangle the pointy fairy lights from the loft, and then laboriously find and replace the broken bulbs. Today he says "our customers require a more reliable, sophisticated product that can be used all year round for parties, summer events - not just Christmas. We test everything to the highest European standards and if products don't meet the grade, we simply don't sell them."
Tim says "the durability and reliability of LED bulbs and their energy saving capabilities (up to 90% electricity savings possible) have helped to transform the Christmas Lighting market. We pioneered a rubber-cabled LED connectable system which can be left outdoors permanently. This has now become a best seller and is used by councils and discerning consumers throughout the UK."
