Are you looking to light up the outdoor of your home for the first time? Are you wondering where to start?

Traditional Lighting

Think about what colour scheme you would like to achieve. Traditional white is always very popular in the UK, and the warmer white colours are achieved with our outdoor connectible 'String Lights' - such as PLR-190's or PLR-200. They are a high quality product that can be left outside all year if required and then switched on for parties and Christmas. They look great in trees, wrapped around pergolas or draped on a hedge.

LED Lighting

For a brighter white select something from our LED outdoor range. LED's have opened a whole new world of vibrant colours for lighting. We can offer IP44 connectible outdoor LED fairy lights in 'Electric Blue, Amber, Red , Green , Blue and White or 'Pure White'. Blue is very popular to give an Ice effect and looks amazing in trees with no foliage. Experiment with colour mixing. Blue and white look great together or green and red are very traditional but so effective in LED. Our connectible outdoor LED fairy light range (often called 'String Lights') is again designed for long term outdoor use and made from heavy duty rubber cables. If you buy high quality outdoor lights such as these, then you can plan to use the lights during the year and not just at Christmas. String Lights or Net lights wrapped on a pergola can be used as required all year round. The dark cables blend easily with wood and foliage.

IP44 Weatherproof Quality

For safety in the British climate, always chose an outdoor product that is weatherproofed to the IP44 standard. Naturally, all our outdoor products are IP44 standard.

The connectible LED outdoor systems are an ideal starting point. You can start, perhaps in a small way, and then add additional sections at a later date or following years if required. With a whole host of wonderful accessories including extension cables for' none lit areas' e.g. linking between trees, the connectible outdoor LED system is the best solution. From only one standard UK socket it is possible to safely connect more than 50 sets of LED's (500m). Each set consumes less than 9.5watts of power which represents a 90% energy saving on old fashioned fairy lights.

If you have trees - light them up for Christmas. Deciduous trees look superb illuminated. You may wish to 'drape' the lights across the bare branches in a 'garland' style or for a more dramatic modern effect - take the time to wrap the cable around the trunk and branches. Your tree is immediately transformed into a magical blaze of colour.

You may wish to illuminate the outside of your house - and Icicle Lights are always a good starting point. They clip to the top of your gutter and give an immediate ice effect to your home - especially if you select blue LED Icicle lights. We now sell connectible LED 'Icicle Lights' in Blue, White or new for 2006 Blue and White alternate bulbs. Please take care with ladders.
