Energy/Environmental
With rising energy costs and a greater awareness of the environmental damage caused by its production and ultimate wastage, consumers are rightly looking for environmentally friendly alternatives to their standard choices. Whether that's bio-fuel for a car or green energy suppliers, many people are taking an active interest in reducing their carbon footprint.
Energy Efficient LED Based 3D Designs
Whilst lighting and, more particularly, decorative lighting may seem like a bit of an indulgence, it needn't cause the impact that you'd perhaps expect. Particularly when considering our fantastic 3D light rope designs, which use LED bulbs. These durable, long-lasting sources of luminescence also require only a fraction of the energy a standard rice bulb or other incandescent might generally use. In many cases you can save up to 90% on the cost of running these more traditional lighting alternatives; saving the consumer money and causing less environmental damage in the process.
Enclosed within a pliable yet sturdy IP44 rated rubber casing, these festive decorations will last in any conditions for years. The LED bulbs create a bright glow, but not through the standard filament of an incandescent bulb, rather through a reaction between gasses and metal within the solid plastic casing. Because it doesn't rely on a filament it is able to last much longer, in fact you can expect upwards of 100,000 hours of usage out of each one. Therefore you get to cut out much of the other wastage commonly associated with Christmas lights, such as replacement bulbs and light strips.
Rice Bulb Alternatives
We do also offer the simpler rice bulb Christmas designs. These require 10 times the amount of power (240v) that an LED equivalent would require; however they do offer a cheaper and more simplistic alternative to the more ornate 3D sculptures. Rice bulbs also have a decent longevity; however they are slightly more fallible than their LED counterparts, which isn't all that surprising really. Where they require more energy, they will inevitably cost more to run and will therefore have a greater impact, potentially at least, on the environment. Regardless of this though they remain highly decorative and attractive pieces that are fun and affordable.
