All of our rope light designs are extremely light in weight, but are by no means fragile. The rope lights are shaped around a metal frame structure, ordinarily made from aluminium, to give them their distinctive shapes and patterns. The compact nature of the rope lights themselves, combined with the sturdy metal frame creates the basis for all of our extremely popular silhouettes and 3D models.

Rice Bulbs & LEDs

The rope lights contain either rice bulbs or LED bulbs, wholly dependent on the individual model or style you choose. Rice bulbs offer a softer shade of lighting and have a life expectancy of anything up to 20,000 hours; these are used particularly on the silhouette designs. LEDs, on the other hand, provide vivid lighting for as much as 100,000 hours of continual usage. They are also extremely low energy, so you can afford to be a little more extravagant with your lighting displays.

Weatherproof & Durable Casing

The bulbs in a rope light are protected by a tough, durable rubber compound or Epoxy casing. This outer shell weatherproofs the display, preventing the harmful elements penetrating the bulbs and causing damage. Therefore you can safely leave any rope light design outside during even the worst bouts of inclement weather.

Simple Mains Connection

Most designs feature a three metre cable, giving plenty of flexibility as to where you position the display. If the distance isn't sufficient you can simply add an outdoor extension lead to the plug, ensuring that your lights can be used anywhere regardless of the position of the nearest power point. They also run from a standard 240v charge, so can be plugged straight into the mains.
