All our Professional and LED products are manufactured to exceed the exacting quality and safety standards required for the German market. These requirements far exceed the normal European 'CE' standard. You can be assured you are buying the best quality Christmas lighting products available. Lights4fun is committed to providing it's customers with high quality and value for money. Most of our outdoor lighting products were designed for local authorities and commercial customers where long term durability, flexibility and extended use are required. Domestic customers can therefore benefit from our superior professional products.

Outdoor or Indoor use?

Beware of inferior mass produced Christmas lights that claim to be suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Often the only reason cheaper products comply with outdoor regulations is because they are low voltage, and the transformer has to be placed indoors. These products are not really designed for our British weather. Never use a transformer outdoors.

Outdoor Lights

All our outdoor lighting products are designed for extended outdoor use. Our Outdoor LED Christmas Lights and most of our outdoor connectable traditional lights are full IP44 Rubber Cable specification with double sealed bulbs and waterproof connectors. Many have a fuse bulb system - which means in the unlikely event of a bulb failing, all the others remain lit. Our outdoor lights can be safely connected to a dedicated weatherproofed outdoor socket. (Normally IP55 rated) These sockets can now be purchased from good DIY stores for as little as £6. Please ensure they are installed by a qualified electrician. Our outdoor LED lights are very cheap to run and will save you money in the long run.

Indoor Lights

For indoor products, remember that all mains incandescent bulbs get hot. We at Lights4fun strongly advise against the use of any mains fairy lights indoors near Christmas trees, children, pets or fabrics. Fire and electrocution can be a serious risk. Always keep mains products away from Children.

Low Voltage LED Lights

We take your safety very seriously. Lights4fun only recommends the use of low voltage LED products inside your home, office or public buildings. These lights consume very little power, always stay cool - never get hot, and can be safely used in close proximity to fabrics, furnishings, pets or trees. At only 24 volts they are safe for use near children and they will last on average ten times longer than a standard fairy light. Old fairy lights can be dangerous. Never attempt to repair them. Low voltage LED's are more reliable than traditional fairy lights and cost less to run. We now offer low voltage connectable indoor systems that will allow you to extend your lights up to 8 sets without the need or danger of extra sockets or trailing cables.
