The range of battery operated LED lights here at Lights4Fun come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The one thing that remains constant throughout the collection is the use of quality LEDs; which emanate with 3 times the light of a normal fairy light and are capable of lasting upwards of 50,000 hours.
Varied Strand Design
As strands of battery operated LED lights vary across the entire range, there is no set blueprint to define the layout for each individual set. Each one tends to be between 1.5 and 3 metres long, ordinarily designated by the number of LEDs per strand. The lights are distributed at junctures of 12-15 centimetres, with the first one generally located around 0.5 metres from the plug.
Battery Powered Lighting
Each strand of battery operated lights is powered by between two and three AA batteries, housed within a compartment at the end of the strand. Whilst battery times may vary due to the nature of individual batteries, you can usually expect to get between 40 and 60 hours of light from each set. The electronics are protected by discreet transparent wiring, offering a safeguard that doesn't impair the aesthetic of the LED light strand.
Flashing & Static LEDs
Battery operated LED lights are available in either static or flashing variants. The flashing LED fairy lights create a shimmering sparkle, with bulbs along the strand flickering on and off. However, unlike many of our mains based LED lights, most battery operated versions don't have a controller, so the lights will continue flashing in the same manner throughout the life of the batteries. Static battery operated LED lights create a simple constant glow.
The collection of specialist battery powered LED lights, including those specifically designed for floral arrangements, follow the same fundamental framework as the strands. For example the 20 LED Long Stemmed Floral Battery Fairy Light utilises the same principles, however the bulbs are situated at the extremes of 20 unique lengths of wire rather than being distributed along a single strand.
