Fairy lights are a safe and subtle way to enhance the décor of any setting. Various technical aspects help them to perform exceptionally. Some of our fairy lights are for indoor use only and will be marked IP20. Any Lights4fun fairy lights marked as IP44 are safe for use either indoor or out. The IP44 label and the Lights4fun attention to detail means your lights will hold their own against the elements year after year. Christmas is one of the most popular times for these lights, and being able to withstand the winter is essential.
LED Bulbs
Most of our fairy lights use LED bulbs which have many energy-saving and environmental benefits. They can last for a very long time and can actually shine brighter than regular bulbs. They also stay cool and don't get too hot, further lowering any potentially dangerous situations.
LED Type C Connectibility
If the fairy light set has an LED type C connection then it can be joined with other sets of the same type and can allow you to utilise a single plug socket instead of having to provide an outlet for every single set. This is helpful for creating a varied display too. From just one plug, you can mix fairy lights, Icicle lights, Curtain lights and net lights and consume a very small amount of energy.
Energy Saving
800 LED fairy lights consume approximately the same energy as one domestic 60 watt light bulb. So light up your home, switch an internal light off and feel good about the planet.
Fused Bulb Technology
Fused bulb technology is a very convenient feature of our fairy light sets, as it makes your lighting displays safer and easier to maintain. If a bulb blows, the circuit will remain unbroken and you do not have to replace the entire set. Sometimes the display may be out of easy access, so, with this technology, if it's cold outside and a bulb goes out - you don't have to!
