Greenhouse Styling Trends 2026

Written by: Millie Breakspeare

Spring is in full bloom, which means sunny days spent in your greenhouse, whiling away the hours until sunset. Since you’re spending a lot more of your time in there, you might want to add some comfort and sparkle - create a relaxing retreat you can escape to when the house becomes chaotic.

But where do I start? Don’t worry, we’ve pulled together some of our favourite greenhouse styling trends for 2026. You can easily adapt them to your own style to give your greenhouse a glow-up, ready for the year ahead.

Creative Colour

To create cohesion throughout your greenhouse, it’s a good idea to style the space with a colour palette in mind. Feel free to change this with the passing seasons so your greenhouse gets a refresh every three months.

To capture the new life and joy of spring, sage green is our go to colour – with pastel yellows and whites for gentle accents. There are many ways to incorporate these colours into your space:

  • Sage green LED candles which you can dot across shelves
  • Bouquets of buttery yellow tulips and daisies strategically placed in vases and baskets (if you don’t want to replace them repeatedly, artificial flowers can be a fun addition to any greenhouse, alongside the genuine article)
  • A tulip and daisy wreath can be hung to ensure colour is present throughout the greenhouse from top to bottom, as well as adding some sparkle from above.

Lovely Lighting

Lighting options are definitely something to consider – not just to make your greenhouse sparkle, but also from a practical point of view. If you’re going to be spending lazy evenings outside, you’ll need plenty of light to work by. Festoon lights are a great choice, as they cast a bright and bold glow over your plants and workstation. You could even drape daisy festoon lights across shelves for an extra spark of cheerfulness.

If you would rather just cosy up in your greenhouse with a cuppa, surrounded by nature, you can scatter lanterns, LED candles, and micro lights around the space. They’ll paint the glass with the warm golden glow of candlelight, creating the perfect garden nook away from it all.

Seasonal Styling

Whilst your greenhouse may be for practical use, you can still style it to create impressive displays for any guests you have over. If you’re a budding gardener, take cues from the seasons as to what to have in your space and when.

Spring

Spring is a great time to focus on pastel colours, as we mentioned earlier. You can highlight younger plants, placing them in prime position, as well as seed trays and pots with bulbs, who are waiting for summer before they say hello.

Summer

Summer is a time to be enjoyed with outdoor seating, and a margarita in hand as the sun goes down. It’s the perfect time to place tomatoes and other fruits front and centre, surrounded by vibrant colours and flowers.

Autumn

Autumn is the season of change but also of plenty, before the quiet of winter. Have a harvest showcase of all your seasonal fruit and veg – apples, pears, pumpkins, squash, and sweet potatoes. Use blankets and cushions of burnt oranges and muted earthy tones to create cosy comfort.

Winter

Winter is a time of peace and reflection. A lot of your plants will go into hibernation and we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to spend your time indoors, cosy by the fire with family and friends. If you do want to add some festive twinkle, create canopies of fairy lights so when you step inside, you’ll feel like you’re surrounded by stars.

Whether you’re an avid gardener or want to create your own garden retreat, we hope these ideas have given you a great starting point to make your own greenhouse shine. It’s your space – make sure to inject part of yourself and your personality into your styling designs so whenever you step inside, it feels like an extension of home.
