A great opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Amazon expert to lead the strategy on Amazon & other Marketplaces across Europe and the United States. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in the rapid growth of Europe’s leading online decorative lighting retailer.

As one of the first adopters of the FBA program in Europe we have built a strong lasting relationship with Amazon. Recognised as one of their key sellers, we engage regularly in two-way feedback as to how we can improve efficiency, the customer experience and drive growth. This year we will be launching on the PAN-EU program to streamline our operations.

With over 10 years of Amazon experience we have driven our metrics into the top 15% of FBA & MFN sellers and we pride ourselves on being “Amazon experts”. Despite already sitting in the top 1% of Amazon sellers on revenue we still see there being a huge opportunity for future growth, particularly on US Amazon when benchmarking against other revenue earners within that top 1%.

We are looking for a candidate who knows exactly how to leverage Amazon’s programs and tools to drive best in class search visibility, customer ratings, product presentation & margins.

Key Responsibilities

Full ownership of new & existing product strategies, pricing and promotional activities (including key paid advertising tools of Amazon Sponsored Products & Sponsored Brands) across all Marketplace channels to drive sales and profit growth

Developing and monitoring KPIs for each Marketplace channel manager and leading the Marketplace team

Oversee ongoing design and development of existing Marketplaces and lead the launch onto new marketplaces

Ensuring optimum product placement, merchandising, SEO optimization and visibility across all Marketplaces

Using channel analysis and insight to improve marketplace efficiency and drive sales.

Ensures that our brand and product content is always best in class, monitoring product performance and proactively seeking ways in which we can improve it.

Owning our direct relationships with Amazon account managers to build strong mutual partnerships with Amazon

Ensure the timely launch of new products across all Marketplace channels

Research and identify new potential opportunities for online marketplaces, presenting outcomes to the senior management team and board

Monitor and review competitors, market trends and fast-moving products regularly to understand best practices and new opportunities

Working closely with the Product & the Commercial teams to ensure optimum demand fulfilment, predicting customer demand and forecasting Marketplace sales

You will continuously optimise stock levels, with regular monitoring, control and replenishment of stock levels

Identifying opportunities for new features and functionality across Marketplaces that can improve key site metrics

Full ownership of Marketplace channel P&Ls & KPIs

Requirements

Educated to degree level

5+ years’ experience and a demonstrable success of successfully managing and growing Amazon and other major marketplaces

Must have a thorough understanding of marketplaces, marketplace tools and advertising concepts, and marketplace industry trends

Strong understanding and demonstrable experience with Amazon Seller central

Highly analytically minded and a keen eye for detail, you thrive on solving problems and working the system

Strong Excel Skills

Excellent communication skills

We are a fast-moving business so you will be able to adapt quickly and successfully with the ability to work under pressure

Able to work with different teams to achieve the overall company strategic vision


Production Executive - Full Time

A great opportunity

This is an exciting new role within the Product Team, responsible for key aspects of our supply chain which ultimately have a direct impact on our performance.

Working closely with the Product Team and our suppliers in Europe and the Far East, you will manage all aspects of production from the moment the orders are placed, to signing them off for shipment to our warehouses across the world. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our stock is manufactured in-line with our high standards of quality as well as the agreed production schedules, acting as our eyes and ears when it comes to our supply chain and maintaining the great relationships that we’ve built with our suppliers. A key part of your responsibilities will be ensuring that only products that are ‘great for the customer’ from a quality point of view make it onto our warehouse shelves

This is a challenging role, requiring a significant amount of attention to detail and a full understanding of the importance of your responsibilities both in terms of the commercial impact on the business, as well as our customers.

This role will be suitable for someone experienced in working in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to manage multiple workstreams and successfully meet deadlines whilst ensuring excellent levels of communication throughout. Full training will be given, so you won’t need any previous experience specific to this role in order to be successful, but you will need an enthusiastic and committed attitude towards your work.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the production schedule, regularly communicating with our suppliers to ensure our orders are completed as planned

Overall management of all tasks relating to production, e.g. packaging creation and QC checks

Keeping teams across the business fully up to date on production statuses

Working with suppliers to address issues that may occur during production, and negotiating appropriate solutions

Providing inspection briefs to our third-party inspection agencies in China, reviewing inspection reports and taking follow up actions, ultimately giving final QC approval of mass production

Providing final sign off for our orders before shipment

Working closely with our suppliers to drive our continued commitment to sustainable packaging

Daily communication with our suppliers in the Far East

Signing off supplier invoices for payment

Providing monthly reporting on supplier delivery performance

Requirements:

A highly organised but flexible approach to working within a fast paced and fluid environment, with proven time management skills.

Ability to manage a large and often time pressured workload, without losing focus on the detail

Proven skills in problem-solving, and a firm but fair approach to negotiation

A strong work ethic and persistent nature

A proven ability to self-motivate and fully commit to any task undertaken

A passion for delivering high quality work, and a real sense of pride and care in what they do

Excellent communication skills

Strong Excel and MS Office skills
