Make Your Kitchen Cosy For Christmas

Written by: Emily Rayner

The kitchen is the heart of the home at Christmas! With food and drink being a key part of the season, it’s the place where we gather round with family to enjoy each other’s company over a meal or a glass of something festive. We have some great ideas for adding style to your kitchen whilst maintaining a practical space, to ensure your decorations don't get in the way of the festivities!

Seasonal Shelfies

The classic ‘Shelfie’ trend has continued to grow in popularity, with many people choosing to decorate their shelving and ledges as a space-saving way to incorporate those finishing touches. Garlands are a great base to start your festive styling and can be complemented with indoor lanterns nestled amongst the foliage for a cosy glow.

Bring Nature Home

Adorn your kitchen with illuminated decorations incorporating natural materials, such as wood or faux greenery to bring the outdoors in. For a traditional look, opt for wooden Christmas shapes such as star lights or place a sprig of festive foliage in a minimalistic vase to keep with the stripped back theme. To complete the arrangement, scatter real pinecones, acorns or berries alongside your display for a touch of authenticity.

Cosy Christmas Candles

Kitchen tables and countertops are also a great point for styling. To ensure you don’t overcrowd your surfaces, we recommend keeping it simple with smaller decorations. Our TruGlow® Candles are the ideal alternative to real candles. Not only do they look super realistic & effective, they eliminate the risk of any flame related accidents if knocked accidentally around busy tables!

However big or small your kitchen is, there are many ways you can style your space ready to enjoy over the Christmas season.
