We are delighted to announce our partnership with Harewood House Trust this festive season, bringing even more sparkle to the house and grounds for 2022. With a spectacular welcome from the festoon lit driveway, to a twinkling courtyard, and a majestic herd of light up reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh, we are truly proud to have illuminated Harewood House this Christmas.
"Community is at the heart of Lights4fun, so we are thrilled to be supporting Harewood House Trust this year. The house and its grounds bring joy to visitors from near and far, and it’s a great asset to our local area. Bringing the creative vision to life with our products and showcasing them at Harewood has been really exciting for everyone at Lights4fun, and the end result is something that we are all incredibly proud of. ”
Ella Carpenter, Marketing Manager at Lights4fun.
The heart of this year’s festive display at Harewood is an awe-inspiring advent calendar adorning the house front, imagined by Harewood House’s Artistic Producer, Zoë Hughes and brought to life with an abundance of our pre lit Christmas Garlands framing each window and door.
"With the generous support of Lights4fun, we have been able to create this beautiful advent calendar on the façade of Harewood House. This is something we have dreamed of doing for years, and so to finally see it come to life is incredible, and would not have been possible without this partnership. Many new areas of the site have been brought to life with Lights4fun lights this Christmas, from the nine magical reindeer pulling our sleigh - which has proved an incredibly popular photo moment for all our visitors - to our Courtyard canopy adorned with string lights and the twinkling welcome of festoon running all along the drive as you approach the House. All these elements have enabled us to create new moments of engagement for our visitors this Christmas, moments which we hope will become lasting memories, as visitors build their festive traditions at Harewood."
Zoë Hughes, Artistic Producer at Harewood House Trust
"The Harewood House Trust is an independent charity, caring for the beautiful Grade I listed country house, accredited museum and grounds. By working in partnership with organisations like Lights4fun, the charity can increase the amount we can do for our visitors. Lights4fun were the perfect partners; their enthusiastic and knowledgeable team helped bring our Artistic Producer’s vision into reality. Together, we’ve brought the magic of Christmas outside, across over 100 acres of gardens, to enable as many people as possible to benefit from experiencing this significant Yorkshire estate."
Emily Booker, Development Manager at Harewood House Trust
This year, Harewood House are celebrating traditionally untraditional Christmas trees in the most unexpected way. Artists and makers from across Yorkshire and beyond have brought a contemporary festive twist to the State Floor, creating trees (and ‘trees’) in their Long Live the Christmas Tree! exhibition.
Inspired by the creations throughout the house, we have added our own take on the theme, with a crafted ladder Christmas tree, providing inspiration for a space-saving option for your home. This alternative sits proudly alongside our traditional tree, with a colour palette of navy and gold chosen to compliment the regal setting of Harewood House.
